Melbourne
FINALLY
I'm on MC today and hence have the time to sit down and post about my wonderful Melbourne trip. It's been three weeks since I'm back but I haven't even had the time to unpack. I'm a horrible person.
Good thing this trip that we went with a friend who has a nice DSLR so yes most of the photos (which looks nice without the blurry+dreamy effect from the lousy s5 camera) are taken by him!
Oh ya so for this trip I went with two of the worms and three of the worm's friend. Three of them went one day earlier because of my exam hahahaha so technically I went for a holiday straight after my exams ended
7.5 hours midnight flight which left us in a horrible state when we landed.
We sat at the row nearest to the toilet and the flushing of the toilet made ABJJ jump up from her sleep most of the times hahahaha
The first place we visited!
State Library of Victoria
It's so weird to visit a library and take photos in it because libraries in SG are not so nice and normally I go there to study
DAY 2
Drove back and since there still was time, we went up the Eureka Skydeck for sunset
DAY 3
Visited the Werribee Open Range Zoo which was super duper duper disappointing.
I think this is the worst and most disappointing zoo I've visited in Australia
The animals in there were so limited and all so so so far away
But anyway I think the issue is that this is zoo and now a wildlife park, which I understand. But pretty sure I've been to a zoo where I can get to touch the kangaroos and koala in Sydney...
And another issue is that this zoo is trying to fight extinction, hence few animals and most of the animals are extinct/going to be extinct. Which is good but still I can't accept the fact that the kangaroos are in a huge open field, so so so far away which I can barely even see them

And there's a mini museum in the library....??? what even
Much pretentious shot
Our first lunch! And then every lunch looks similar from then on because it's all about the bread and eggs
Luna Park
Which we only took a photo from outside. It's actually a theme park but it looks too creepy to be theme park
Random walk by the beach which now I'm wondering.... why did we do that????
Had a nice breakfast at a farm
THIS WAS SO GOOD I SWEAR
3 hours drive up to Yarra Valley for wine and cheese tasting
Feel like these are the kind of places that you should come with a tour group because the people there won't really entertain you much unless you're with a tour group. But anw it's something like Swan Valley in PerthDrove back and since there still was time, we went up the Eureka Skydeck for sunset
I swear we sat there for like an hour for this
Compensated with a nice dinner
What the rest had. BEEF. Cravings now pls
DAY 3

It was only the two of us that day because the rest went to cycle
Oh ya the rest are like cyclists enthusiasts, so they bought their own bikes from SG to cycle there. Something that I can never do as a bowler...hehe
DAY 4
Set out super early for Great Ocean Road because the drive takes about 6 hours
First stop at a cafe for brekkie!
My super duper healthy break muesli + latte because we in aussie
Second stop to spot koalas
Spot the slouching koala!!!!! So kewt
Third stop
And we finally reach the 12 Apostles (now 8 lol)!!!
As usual, Australia's sky, sea and sun is to die for
Decided to go a little further down and stop at the London Bridge
So apparently this was a whole bridge until the waves knocked it down. And when the bridge collapsed, there were people on the other side of the bridge, so a helicopter had to rescue them hahahaha feel kinda bad that it sounds funny to me but it's still funny
My fav photo from the trip!
Because when we took the first jump.....we heard the sound of pants ripping...... Thankfully we were already on our way back hahahaha
DAY 5
Last day in Melbourne and this was our first stop
Super healthy breakfast again
Second stop
(I think it was Brighton Beach????)
Obviously I had to take a photo with a nice blue house??????
And obviously I had to take a jump shot with my crazy hair flying??????
Our nice seafood dinner at Queen Victoria Market
It's a huge market with many international food but the food there were more pricey than usual e.g. Asian food (which was expected but still)
All in all it was a good trip. Eat a lot of cafe food and drank a lot of coffee. Visited a decent number of touristy places and so all was good.
Here's a weird video to end off this post!
